The Kenyon school was identified under many District names, but for the final years it was known as District No 19.  The original structure was across the road and was built “about” 1829, and then the permanent location was built about 1840 on the north side of Rt 69 at the intersection of Kenyon Rd.  The school burned down in August of 1967 on an evening where there were several fires going on at the same time and arson was suspected.
