Chartered by the New York State Department of Education to operate a museum, the society has accumulated, cataloged, and cared for museum artifacts for over forty years.   The organization is able to share the history of Mexico through numerous Society financed publications, informative public programs, charitable gifts and donations.  Without our volunteers we would not be able to keep our museums maintained and open to the public.
